OpenShift need to update Redhat Client Tools, rhc, for Windows to provide higher openssl version for tlsv1.2 support

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

What problem/issue/behavior are you having trouble with? What do you expect to see?

We have a downlevel version of the Redhat client tools installation for windows. In the past Redhat provided a binary / package we leveraged for the installation; however, I cannot find an updated client for windows on Redhat's site. The ruby gems were updated; however, openssl that is bundled with the tools is downlevel (0.9.8) and does not natively support TLSv1.1/TLSv1.2.

If an executable bundle is not available, is there a way to update the binary aspects of the client from the broker?

Where are you experiencing the behavior? What environment?

This is a software refresh request.

When does the behavior occur? Frequently? Repeatedly? At certain times?

Frequently.

What information can you provide around timeframes and urgency?

We'd like to get a package so we can get this sent to our internal deskside services for integration with our environment.
