Why can't one install Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.8 on VMWare 5.5?
Issue
- Trying to install Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.8 on top of VMWare 5.5
- Installation hangs and CPU usage becomes 100%
- The new virtual machine has:
- CPU: 2 cpus with 6 cores (everyone).
- Physical Memory: 20 GB
Environment
