How to expose the host boot disk to the system through satellite 6?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Is there a way to expose the host boot disk (/bootdisk/disks/hosts/hostname.example.com) to the host (hostname.example.com)? In the environment, do not have easy access to PXE, so loading the iso onto /boot/ would be very helpful to me.

  • Looking forward to add it to the /boot/ filesystem and grub menu, but not sure how to get the host to fetch the iso image.

  • The system itself will be fully installed and no longer in Build mode. Tried with wget a bit to get the system to download it
    https://mysatserver/hosts/myhostname.example.com --no-check-certificate --user=bootdiskuser --password=bootdiskpassword

  • Trying to preload the boot image since have not got consistent PXE.

Environment

  • Red Hat Satellite 6.1
