clvmd or DLM controld resource fails in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 Pacemaker with error 'not installed' (5)

Issue

  • After configuring pacemaker clvmd resource the following error is returned.
clvmd_monitor_0 on server-ha 'not installed' (5): call=11, status=Not installed, last-rc-change='Wed Jan  6 21:26:54 2016', queued=0ms, exec=0ms
  • After configuring pacemaker DLM controld resource the following error is returned
dlm_monitor_0 on server-ha 'not installed' (5): call=649, status=Not installed, exitreason='none',
    last-rc-change='Sat Sep 22 14:25:35 2018', queued=0ms, exec=0ms
  • Pacemaker fails to start clvmd.
  • Pacemaker fails to start dlm:controld.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 with High Availability Add-On with resources using DLM controld
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 with Resilient Storage Add-On
  • locking_type = 3 in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf
