  • RHN Proxy installation fails with an error

  • Getting below mentioned error when running configure-proxy.sh

    There was a problem activating the RHN Proxy entitlement:
ERROR: upon entitlement/activation attempt: unknown error - <Fault -2: 'unhandled internal exception: ORA-20235: (channel_family_no_subscriptions) - Channel family subscription count cannot exceed maximum membership\nORA-06512: at "RHN.RHN_EXCEPTION", line 27\nORA-06512: at "RHN.RHN_CHANNEL", line 27\nORA-06512: at line 1\n'">
Proxy activation failed! Installation interrupted.

RHN Proxy successfully deactivated

Environment

  • Red Hat Network Proxy v5.3

Resoution

To activate the system as RHN Proxy, purchase/renew additional RHN Proxy subscriptions or deactivate the current system which cosumes RHN Proxy Entitlement.
