[Satellite6] Tomcat/candlepin consumes much CPU and memory due to misbehaving abrtd on client machines

Issue

  • tomcat process running on Satellite6 consumes much memory (in GBs) and CPU (hundreds of %) - much more than usual
  • excessive tomcat <-> psql communication noticed
  • no rogue virt-who instance (sending reports to Satellite too frequently) has been identified (see this solution for more / if relevant)
