After Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 installation completed, user and group defined in kickstart is not reflected partially

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • I installed Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.7, and it looks completed without any error popup.
  • But, I found the following wrong configuration about user and group defined in kickstart file after installation.

    • user is not belonging to the group specified with --groups=.
    • user doesn't have any password setting.
    • /root/anaconda-ks.cfg doesn't have a group directive, which was in the original kickstart file.
