Fabric ActiveMQ brokers switch master/slave roles on the shutdown of an ensemble member

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

A Fuse fabric is defined as an ensemble (that is, with a distributed configuration repository based on Zookeeper). The fabric contains a pair of containers with ActiveMQ message brokers organized as a master-slave pair. When an ensemble member is shut down, the ActiveMQ brokers swap master-slave roles, although neither broker is in the same container, or even the same physical host, as the ensemble member.

Environment

  • Red Hat Fuse
    • 6.x
  • Red Hat A-MQ
    • 6.x in Fabric8 mode
