smartctl attribute incorrectly names (SF-2581/2)

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

We use various SSD devices on our platform and require to monitor wear rate and lifetime writes to ensure service continuity. It has been noted that the SMART attributes output by smartctl in RHEL6.6 are inappropriately named for the Sandforce based Kingston E50 and E100 disks that we are currently using. This problem does not exist in RHEL7.1
