pulse: cannot create heartbeat socket. running as root?
Issue
Customer has a 2 node piranha LBs which has multiple backend realserver with provides LDAP and LDAPS services. The LB servers are basically VMware guest systems. They have an application that manually restarts Pulse at times. They reported had that pulse failed to start with Starting pulse: pulse: cannot create heartbeat socket. running as root?. on the active balancing node.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.
- RHEL6.7
- Piranha load balancer.
- Pulse service
