Issue

  • We manage linux account in RHEL IPA, and manage the accounts home directory centrally on a NFS server.
  • The user logon to a linux server, its home directory is mounted to the server through automount but when the NFS server dies, the currently active login session will hang there.
  • How to mount the dying mount disconnect by itself in a very short when it can't communicate with the NFS server?
