Cloudforms - VMware Template provisioning with customisation failing with errors

All attempts to provisioning a new VMware based instance using template customisations fail with the following error message: A specified parameter was not correct. 'spec.identity.userData.computerName'

The expectation is that through the use of a Service Catelog a user could provision a new VMware based instance and apply company specific customisations in the form of a VMware specifications file.
