Is bonding configuration under '/etc/modprobe.d/' supported in RHEL 6 ?

Issue

  • There are multiple systems in environment where bonding options are defined under /etc/modprobe.d/bonding.conf file.
  • Want to know if these options are still supported or they are known to cause any issue ?
# cat /etc/modprobe.d/bonding.conf 
alias bond0 bonding
alias bond1 bonding
options bond0 miimon=100 mode=802.3ad lacp_rate=1
options bond1 miimon=100 mode=802.3ad lacp_rate=1
