Why Routing SPI for Nginx does not preserve host in http request headers

Environment

Issue

  • Routing SPI for Nginx doesn't preserv host in http request's headers.
  • Below error is seen :
[24/07/2015 10:27:25:225] - -TGRE602 -/api/map  [INFO ] stdout                                             - [2015-07-24 10:27:25.206] boot - 1088 ERROR [http-/127.9.153.1:8080-3] --- GlobalErrorHandler: Could not get HttpServletRequest URI: Illegal character in hostname at index 11: http://pool_ose_xj1tbeb_cc3r2e1_80:80/api/map

Resolution

  • The issue has been fixed in Openshift Enterprise 2.2.8
