RHEL 6 on restart: Failed to delete: could not stat original file /var/lib/nfs/statd/sm.bak/FQDN

Issue

  • Once the Vm is up after the crash, we could see the below message in /var/log/messages file of the VM.
Failed to delete: could not stat original file /var/lib/nfs/statd/sm.bak/FQDN

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.7 (NFS Server)
  • NFS
  • nfs-utils-1.3.0-0.8.el7.x86_64
  • Reboot after crash
