Timezone offset issue
Issue
- We are noticing our jdk calls to grab date objects are 2 hours offset,
- It is presenting wrong times to several operating programs.
- We added a setting to the standalone.conf file to set the timezone
JAVA_OPTS="$JAVA_OPTS -Duser.timezone=America/Chicago"
That fixed the problem after a service restat, but it happened again a few hours later. Restarting the server resolved it.
Environment
- Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform(EAP) 6.2.4
