Why am I seeing application or service log messages identified as "ERROR [STDERR]" in JBoss Application Server

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • The applications and server are working fine, but still we see the following exception in server log or on the console
    ERROR [STDERR] 2009-10-29 08:29:04 [145239107 main] [TIBCO EMS]: [J] QueueConnectionFactory[URL=tcp://server1.net:7222, tcp://server2.net:7222;clientID=null;Properties={}] CreateQueueConnection conn=386292 user=musr UTC offset=0
    ERROR [STDERR] 2009-10-29 08:29:05 [145239107 main] [TIBCO EMS]: [J] QueueConnection Create QueueSession conn=386292 sess=989709 transacted=false ackmode=1
    ERROR [STDERR] 2009-10-29 08:29:05 [145239107 main] [TIBCO EMS]: [J] QueueSession Create Queue conn=386292 sess=989709 dest=$sys.lookup
    ERROR [STDERR] 2009-10-29 08:29:05 [145239107 main] [TIBCO EMS]: [J] QueueSession Create QueueSender conn=386292 sess=989709 prod=310507 dest=Queue[$sys.lookup] type=Queue
    ...

  • Server log or console output includes error messages that do not appear to indicate an error.  For example:
ERROR [STDERR] My custom application has been initialized

Environment

  • JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 4.3
  • Log4jService MBean attribute CatchSystemErr is not set or is set to true
