GUI application crashes when launched over ssh X forwarding from specific system.

Issue

  • we have a RHEL6 machine with third party application installed on it.
  • The application crashes and dumps core while launching from RHEL7 system via ssh X forwarded session to this RHEL6 machine.
  • The application works well when launched via ssh X forwarded session from RHEL5 system.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (all versions)
