Why "Oracle Net Listener" service fails while stopping on "rhn-satellite" service ?

Issue

• While stopping Oracle Net Listener service it fails, listener log shows following error messages

# tail -f /opt/apps/oracle/web/product/10.2.0/db_1/log/listener.log &
/etc/init.d/oracle stop
Shutting down Oracle Net Listener ...                      [FAILED]
Shutting down Oracle DB instance "rhnsat" ...Shutting down Oracle Net Listener ...
