Installing RHEL hosts from RHEV-M fails with package conflict

Issue

  • When installing a RHEL host from RHEV-Manager, I'm receiving the following error message:
Host rhev-hostname-X installation failed. Please refer to log files for more details.

Transaction Check Error:
file /usr/bin/qemu-img from install of qemu-img-2:0.12.1.2-2.295.el6_3.1.x86_64 
conflicts with file from package qemu-img-rhev-2:0.12.1.2-2.295.el6.x86_64

And manually removing the qemu-img-rhev package doesn't seem to work as it just reinstalls it. The RHEV-M is running the latest 3.0.z release.
