Why did my RHEV virtual machine not return back to its automatic pool?

Issue

I was given access to a pool from my RHEV admin. While I was using a VM from that pool, the admin removed my permission from the pool. Then, when I shut down the VM, it was supposed to return to the pool for someone else to use. Why did this not happen?
