Why can't I log in to the EAP Web and JMX consoles after installation?

Issue

• I am trying to get access to the JBoss AS Administration console. I am using admin, admin as the userid and password, and this is not working. These have worked in the community edition of JBoss 5.
• We are unable to access the web-console application in our environment. We have not altered any JBoss config files.
