How can x509 certificates be passed to JBoss when the HTTPS connector is not used?

Issue

We have an F5 load balancer in front of our jboss servers that is terminating the https and then use http between the load balancer and JBoss servers. We are not using the https connector on JBoss. Is there a way to pass a certificate through to an application as credentials once the session has been created?

Our environment looks like the following:

Client -----(https)-----------> F5 Load Balancer -----(http)----------->  JBoss EAP6
