Remove default Apache test page for DocumentRoots without an index

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • /var/log/httpd/error_log shows:
[Mon Jul 30 09:22:32 2012] [error] [client 10.10.10.10] Directory index forbidden by Options directive: /var/www/html/

  • Attempting to access server over http shows default Apache page

  • Cannot see directory listing even while using the AllowOverride option
