RHEL 7 High Availability node with fence_scsi_check.pl enabled in watchdog reboots during boot-up as soon as watchdog starts
Issue
- When I'm booting a node with
fence_scsi_check.plenabled, the node starts watchdog then immediately reboots itself with errors saying the script returned 1
Sep 22 16:14:24 rhel7-node3 watchdog[4462]: test binary /etc/watchdog.d/fence_scsi_check.pl returned 1
Sep 22 16:14:24 rhel7-node3 watchdog[4462]: repair binary /etc/watchdog.d/fence_scsi_check.pl returned 1
- Node is stuck in a reboot loop of booting up and then rebooting itself as soon as watchdog gets started
fence_scsi_check.plfails if the node has not been unfenced yet
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 with the High Availability Add On
watchdogenabled to start on boot withsystemctl enable watchdog.service/usr/share/cluster/fence_scsi_check.pllinked or copied to/etc/watchdog.d- One or more nodes configured with a
