Configuring smb.conf and can't read samba share from remote machine

Issue

  • Just configured smb.conf per below and am unable to connect to the /Test share.
[global]                                                                                                       
        workgroup = MYGROUP
        server string = Samba Server Version %v
        hosts allow = 127.0.0.1
        security = user
        passdb backend = tdbsam
[test]
        path = /Test
        writeable = yes
        browseable = yes
        valid users = testuser

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
