Hot-adding memory to RHEL6 guest running on VMWare virtualization may result in the system not detecting added memory or some kernel oops may occur.

While trying to hot-add memory in VMware RHEL6 guest, the following errors may occur (this log is stripped):

Environment
- VMware ESXi 4/5 with "Memory Hot Add" enabled
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2 and newer
