When you want to change the time of filesystem to be checked, which parameters of tune2fs command should be used?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • How to use '-c' and '-i ' parameters of tune2fs command to force checking filesystem ?
  • Filesystem check done during reboot as the check was not done for last 937 days
  • One of the server went into filesystem check mode during restart. On the console it was showing filesystem check was not done for past 937 days. Filesystem check took more than 1 hour and one of the critical production DB was down due to this. But after the Server restarted I am not able to locate this information in the logs (937 days).
  • tune2fs -i
  • tune2fs -c
  • fsck on boot
  • fstab
