SELinux targeted policy does not work with MariaDB Galera Cluster

Issue

  • when starting the mariadb service on a non primary node of a mariadb/galera cluster, selinux prevents wsrep/rsync from syncing up correctly with primary node so backup node will fail to start.

  • libselinux-utils-2.2.2-6.el7.x86_64
  • selinux-policy-3.13.1-23.el7_1.17.noarch
  • selinux-policy-targeted-3.13.1-23.el7_1.17.noarch
