Why SSH session is freezing after succesful login?

Issue

After a kernel update from 2.6.32-504.el6.x86_64 to 2.6.32-573.3.1.el6.x86_64, the screen sometimes freezes during SSH session. Therefore, it is not possible to work in the command shell.
