Unable to start a new root container and container remains in pending state.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Fuse
    • 6.1.0

Issue

  • User is trying to create and start a new root container in a fabric enviroment.
  • User is using the following command
fabric:container-create-ssh --jvm-opts "-XX:MaxPermSize=1024m -Xmx2048m" --resolver localip --host 10.0.0.222 --user jboss --profile fabric --path /data m2m
  • The container is created but it remains in a pending status.
  • Is it possible to create a GIT repository backup (to use in similar cases to restore a fabric)?

Resolution

  • Cause of container being in pending state could be because of problems in GIT repo. If its a non-production environment user can try to recreate fabric freshly.
  • Git repository backup can be taken with help of fabric:import/export functionality also user can clone git repository.
