PID file /var/run/multipathd/multipathd.pid not readable (yet?) after start

Issue

  • While checking the status or restarting multipathd service, following warning messages appear:

        `PID file /var/run/multipathd/multipathd.pid not readable (yet?) after start `

  • The above messages also comes in /var/log/messages after a restart. They can be ignored.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2
