After detecting a resource failure, pacemaker restarts the resource on same node instead of relocating it to another node

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • After detecting a resource failure, pacemaker restarts the resource on same node instead of relocating it to another node.
  • We configured two resources - lsb script, it is available in /etc/init.d, and IPaddr2. While stopping the script outside of cluster, pacemaker is restarting it on same node instead of failing over to another node.
  • How to avoid restart of a resource in a node on failure and relocate it to other node after a specific number of failure attempts?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.0 with High Availability Add-Ons
