Why does Red Hat Enterprise Linux show wrong version at boot screen compared to the version mentioned in /etc/redhat-release file ?
Issue
- Red Hat release at boot screen shows as
Red Hat Enterprise Linux workstation 6.5
- Whereas the file
/etc/redhat-releaseshows
# cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation release 6.6 (Santiago)
