"Invalid shared memory segment size" error when connecting to thinlinc-vnc-server.

Issue

  • Thinlinc vnc packages installed on the system and Thinlinc vncserver is running :

    # rpm -qa |grep thinlinc
    thinlinc-tlmisc-libs-4.2.0post-4368.x86_64
    thinlinc-tlprinter-4.2.0-4356.noarch
    thinlinc-tladm-4.2.0-4356.x86_64
    thinlinc-vsm-4.2.0post-4368.x86_64
    thinlinc-rdesktop-4.2.0-4356.x86_64
    thinlinc-webaccess-4.2.0-4356.noarch
    thinlinc-tlmisc-libs32-4.2.0post-4368.i686
    thinlinc-vnc-server-4.2.0-4356.x86_64
    thinlinc-tlmisc-4.2.0post-4368.x86_64
    
  • when users are connecting the server through Thinlinc vnc client they are getting the below error in xinit.log and the log fills the /var filesystem frequently.

    "Invalid shared memory segment size"
