Issue

  • Is there a rule regarding support of kernel drivers in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, which are in "staging" in the upstream kernel?
  • I have a driver which is in the staging area in upstream, and in /boot/config* I see it as commented, so it gets not compiled on RHEL. Are all staging drivers disabled, as a policy?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • kernel
