RHEL high Availability cluster: How to fence nodes via a vlan

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

  • Can you let us know why we are not able to fencing over br1 or eth2.1, VLAN 1 is for inter datacenter cluster communication so we need all the communication to happen on either br1 or eth2.1 instead of eth0.2 which is a host servers prod interface,
  • Note: Multicast is enabled in on VLAN 1, we confirmed the same with our network Engg.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.6
  • Red Hat High Availability Cluster
    • fencing
