Issue

  • After update kernel to kernel-2.6.32-573.1.1.el6, we can see the following messages when the system started.
ACPI：memory_hp：Memory online failed for 0x10000000 - 0xc0000000
ACPI：memory_hp：Memory online failed for 0x100000000 - 0x240000000
  • What does this mean?
  • Is this harmless?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.7
  • VMWare ESXi 5.5
