'fclp segfault at XXX' errors logged in /var/log/messages, need RCA

Issue

  • We have received error messages in /var/log/messages recently stating a segmentation fault has occurred with fclp:

    kernel: fclp[1201]: segfault at 0000000000000000 rip 0000000000a6c24c rsp 00000000ffa3a11b error 4

    Please provide the root cause of above segfault.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, 6, 7
  • fibreutils rpm installed
