jBPM Console doesn't reflect process instance updates made by user applications

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • I can only monitor the process instances that were started from the jBPM console. If I start the process using my EJB application, even though the call has been invoked successfully and new record is created in processinstanceinfo table, I will not be able to see that process instance from jBPM console.
  • After I invoke LocalTaskService.complete(), I can verify from task table in the database that the current task is completed, and a new task is created for the next node in the workflow. However, from jBPM console, I can see that the pointer is still pointing to the first human task node.

Environment

  • JBoss Enterprise Business Rules Management System Platform (BRMS)
    • 5.3.0
  • jBPM
    • 5
