RHEL: Data transmission delayed by around 200ms

Issue

  • We noticed abnormal TCP communication between two servers: RHEL was not sending ACK to a proprietary System for quite some time. This resulted into production impact.

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.9
    • 2.6.18-348.el5
  • Stratus VOS fault tolerant Operating system
