JBoss EAP 5.1.2 graphical and automated installation mode does not install service script on RHEL

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • The startup script: /etc/init.d/jbossas was not present after the installation of JBoss EAP.
  • The Installation method used in Headless GUI using automatic Installation script. The same result even when GUI is used.
  • Also /etc/sysconfig/jbossas is missing after installation.

Environment

  • JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 5.1.2
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server (RHEL) release 5.7 (Tikanga)
