On Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, rsyslog with imgssapi segfaults

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • Recently updated to rsyslog-5.8.10-2
  • Using the gssapi plugin (rsyslog-gssapi) with the $InputGSSServerPermitPlainTCP option
  • When starting rsyslog, the following error occurs:
rsyslogd: GSS-API error reading token data
rsyslogd: TCP session 0x7f549c001320 will be closed, error ignored

And then rsyslogd is killed with a segmentation fault error.

Note that the TGT is managed independently of rsyslogd.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2
  • rsyslog-5.8.10-2
