Can I configure a Read Only account to access the Administration Consoles (jmx-console,web-console,admin-console) in JBoss EAP?

Issue

  • Is there a way we can create an account that only has read/view access to the Administration Consoles?
  • Is there any way to restrict read access also Admin Console, using the same credentials JMX Console?

Resolution

  • There is no role that can give read only access to it, what they provide is only what a specific user can access. Take a look in the Admin Console User Guide for the available Roles in Administration Console for details about the available roles.
  • The jmx-console credentials are only restricted to JMX console itself and the same cannot be used for Admin console.
