virt-v2v fails on VMware ESXi5 with the following error message.

virt-v2v -ic esx:// -o rhev -osd <VMWARE_IP>:/rhev-export test_vm_name
virt-v2v: Failed to connect to esx://: libvirt error code: 1, message: internal error Expecting VI API major/minor version '2.5' or '4.x' but found '5.0'
