Getting error while accessing samba share from Windows 2008 Server

Issue

  • Active Directory Group Policy are enabled with the following properties:
  1. Network security: LAN Manager authentication level set to NTLM2
  2. Microsoft network client: Digitally sign communications (always)
  3. Microsoft network server: Digitally sign communications (always)
  • In RHEL6 exported a samba share but getting the following error while accessing from Windows 2008 server:

The network name is no longer available
  • Windows 10 boxes are not able to connect to the samba shares.

  • Windows 2008 Server
  • Windows 10
  • Samba
