Images pushed on docker private registry cannot be searched using v1/search API Endpoint.
Issue
Unable to search images available on private docker registry from client systems. search query returns with status code 404.
docker search [my.registry.host]:[port]/<imagename>
FATA[0004] Error response from daemon: Unexpected status code 404
