Is there a way to configure Business Central to accept a user and role rather than standard login?

Issue

• We would like to add Business Central as an iframe to a web portal (not deployed on JBoss container), so the user can log into our portal, and not have to enter credentials into Business Central directly.

• The portal would pass the user name and role(s) to Business Central rather than going through the regular login of Business Central.

• Business Central comes pre-configured to use local user/role properties files, and can be configured to use LDAP, but I can't find anything that would allow login from a portal like this.
