Can I change the world writable permissions of the files under the /proc directory?
Issue
-
The files in the /proc/ directory show up as world writeable. Is it okay to alter the permissions of files and folders inside /proc and what effect would this have on our server?
-
When I execute the below command :-
find / -type f -perm -002 -ls | more
I get to see the world writable files. Is it okay to alter their world writeable permissions ?
