Ceph - Replacing a failed MON
Issue
In case a MON refuses to start for any reason, you may have to quickly replace/rebuild this MON assuming that the server where the MON runs has not had any network configuration changes.
Environment
This procedure applies to any Ceph post Cuttlefish version.
This article assumes that you want to restart the MON on the exact same server and no configuration change took place between the moment the MON failed and the moment you want to restart it after disposing of the old MON store.
